Chapter 1 General Provisons

1-14 Definitions

 

As used in the Code and in any amendments thereof which may hereafter be made, and in any further legislation hereafter lawfully adopted, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

 

VILLAGE - The Village of Wilson, Niagara County, New York, a municipal corporation.

 

1-15 Village Boundaries

 

The boundaries of the village within which the Code and all legislation heretofore regularly adopted by the village are applicable are those boundaries shown on the map of the village made by E. V. W. Dox, Surveyor, filed in the Niagara County Clerk's office in Book 34 of Maps, at page 828, a copy of which map is on file in the office of the Village Clerk.

 

1-16  General Penalty (Amended 6-4-19511)

 

Any person or corporation convicted of any violation of any provision of this Code where another penalty is not expressly provided shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars ($250) or by imprisonment for not more than fifteen (15) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.2
